The data in the app is yours and it leaves at any moment, in a format that opens without an account here. There are three export routes, for three different situations.
1. A single document
Open the declaration and click “Download”. You get a PDF in the language you choose. The document carries a SHA-256 checksum — if a customer or an auditor wants to confirm the file has not been altered, they compare it with the one the app displays.
This is the everyday case: a customer asks for the declaration, you send them the file.
2. The full archive as a ZIP
Settings → Export → Download archive. The package is built in the background; with large records you get an email with a link once it is ready. It contains:
- every issued declaration, in every language version,
- every historical version of those documents, with dates,
- the technical documentation for each declaration,
- the original evidence files from suppliers,
- a
manifest.csvfile listing the contents with checksums.
Folders are organised by packaging item, so the package can go to an auditor without any further tidying.
3. Records as CSV and XLSX
Settings → Export → Records data. You choose the scope:
| File | What it contains |
|---|---|
packaging | name, type, unit mass, item code, declaration status |
components | packaging item, component, material, mass, percentage share |
evidence | material, supplier, document type, number, date, assessment status |
declarations | number, date, version, packaging item, full or conditional status |
Files are UTF-8 with a semicolon separator, so Excel opens them without the import wizard. The XLSX version carries the same columns with formatted headers.
4. Which export, when
Matching the export to the situation
- A customer asks for the declaration — a single PDF
- An audit or an inspection — the full ZIP archive with evidence and manifest
- Portfolio analysis or a move to another tool — CSV or XLSX
- A backup — the ZIP archive once a quarter
5. What happens to the export on the server
The package is generated on request and deleted seven days after download. The link is single-use and tied to your account. Data is stored in the European Union, and the documents you upload are not used to train models — details in the privacy policy.
If you cancel your subscription, the export keeps working: what happens when your subscription ends.
Questions about this article
Does the export cost anything?
No. Exporting documents and data is free on every plan, including after a subscription ends and on the free account.
Does the export include supplier evidence?
Yes. The full archive contains the evidence files you uploaded, in their original form, organised into folders by packaging item and material.
